LOVE/HATE

THOSE WORDS are rather strong, but I don't know what else to title this entry. Truth of the matter is, I don't have anything to write about today. I love the following photo, and I'm not sure what about it pleases me so.

It was taken in a little coffee shop sort of restaurant in Pasadena. The hamburgers there are unsurpassed and on the day this was taken (months before Mr. Bob became incapacitated), we decided to take our dessert home. A meal at Pie 'N Burger isn't complete without a slice of one of their pies.

The next photo I dislike, only because I'd rather look like the lady to the right rather than myself on the left. I had gone in to a KFC place to order chicken to take home and Mr. Bob took this picture from the car. Taken several months ago.

The next picture makes good sense, but something about it irks me.

The last scene, shot two years ago, reminds me that I'm really tired of my clothes. But I have to lose weight before I can go shopping for anything new. So sayeth my man.

The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.

  1. I dunno. How do we know he's not a swollen ankle man? But you're probably right.

  2. I do believe Mr. Bob needs to fast forward to the year in time with little miss cutie legs is our age and see what she looks like then....or even better, the before and after of her boyfriend's abs. Life is an on going process and as our joys accumulate, so do our wrinkles and sags and the circumference our waist lines. You don't have to lose an ounce before you treat yourself to something to lift those spirits. You Go Girl !!! T.O.Joanne
