BLAST OFF!

WE USED TO LOOK FORWARD to weekends. Nowadays they just seem to impede progress. Mr. Bob checked into the hospital just as the Memorial Day weekend launched and almost everything came to a halt while most folks in the outer world prepared to enjoy themselves. We played the waiting game until business-as-usual resumed on Tuesday.

It was good to get back to the Manor last Thursday, but another looming weekend meant that we needed to wait again until we could get started on the first of 37 weeks of treatment.

So, here we go........I didn't know they made oxygen tanks this large. For some reason it reminds me of a rocket in a slapstick cartoon. Wish us luck as we take off on an unknown adventure...........

Now it's time for me to go take my shower and put on my makeup.
I don't think makeup is rocket science or a cure for cancer.

  3. Mr Bob looks like a Torpedoman, 1st Class.
It's good to see him out of his nightie (it's about time Reyn Spooner did a line in hospital gowns) and with a smile on his face again.

Best of luck to you both. Take me with you there's enough space for all three.

  5. Taked to Bob awhile on Sunday. He not only has his smile, but looks healthy and cheerful. Windsor is on the hunt to order a small, portable oxygen tank so he can come out of his seclusion. I thought the tank he was hitched to was hilarious! Space science material.

  7. Definitely wishing you all the best of luck. I hope this is one instance where time goes very quickly so that he'll have all those treatments behind him very soon. In the meantime, you will both be in my thoughts.

  10. OMG..That tank does look like a rocket??? Maybe it is and that is his ride to his first treatment???? You are at the gate of this new adventure and with luck, Mr. Bob will use his regular nap times during the worst of it!You both surely need a night out!
