Something new (to me, anyway) has come along. If you already know about links, forgive my kindergarten level directions, but I hope everyone understands that when a word is in a different color you can click on it and be taken to a site that gives more information about a subject. I wish I had signed up with Blipfoto before January 2 so that my calendar for 2011 would be complete. The idea is to post a picture a day, thus providing a sort of photographic diary for the year. The rule is that the picture has to be taken on the day it is posted. I'm terribly good at halting a project prematurely, so it'll be interesting to see if I can stay with this. My first two pictures are of subjects close at hand because we're self-quarantined in our rooms with our colds. It rained last night and is pretty much overcast, but there's a little blue between the clouds. My mother used to say if there was enough blue to make a pair of Dutchman's breeches, the skies would clear. This is the view we can see, but the picture was taken on a sunnier day.
Because there's so little to write about today I'll leave you with a sight I came upon when we were moving from the house on Buena Vista. The wonderful group, Gentle Transitions, who helped us with the tremendous job of purging three quarters (at least) of our belongings, had a system in which anything with a green sticker was going with us to our new home. A red sticker meant that it was being removed from our lives. Christopher, our firstborn came to visit briefly and following his visits we always discovered something that gave evidence that he was there. The wooden angel came along with us. I've corrected the amusing irreverence by removing her pasties and she stood in blessing over our Christmas this year. Forgive him, Father, even though he knew full well what he was doing.
