MEET BRIGITTE

For a long time, I've collected miniature books, feeling all along that I'd have time to read them when I retired. What I didn't take into consideration was the fact that sharp eyesight generally declines with age. The smallest book in my miniature bookcase is highly readable.

THE END

  3. I'm am writing my daughter-in-law ( for whom I would pay a million dollars) to suggest that she read your blog today. I am glad that she saved neither of these items as I love my grandchildren and know that she is spending all the Euros she makes as a teacher of art in the process of making everyone else happy. I laughed when you mentioned your "picture a day" project as my gift to her last Christmas was to commit to sending her a foto a day on line so she could see my highlight of the day. I lasted all the way until May. T.O. Joanne

  7. Hahaaaa--that's a riot. I still have the teeny little book, "The Story of Word Pictures" that you gave me. It's charming, and beautifully made! It sits on my desk in our family room--I think of you often whenever I sit at that desk or even when I dust there. Every once in a while I pick it up and smile:
"Sit down beside me, I'll tell you a story, Of Beautiful women And men who are bold..."

  8. My dear daughter-in-law (I would pay a million dollars for her) Brigitte will be looking at this from her home in Munich. Thank goodness by son gave her to me 16 years ago. She is also an artist and shares my sense of humor.
