I actual feel anger bubble up inside when people walk up to a counter where someone is waiting to help them, and they barely pause in their cell phone conversation. Middle age to me: missing simple civility.

  3. I'm laughing out loud. I have a cell phone because I really do need one for safety on the road, but honestly, I HATE dealing with phones: I'd much rather talk to someone in person. I work with people at least half my age, and they LIVE for their phones; can't live without them. It cracks me up. I must be getting really old...

  5. susan h writes I have an old fashioned cell phone. It takes me 20 minutes to text a simple sentence. I recently sent a text to folks letting them know I am boycotting text. I send my friend an occasional text stating, I am still not texting but..... I call my son and parents phones - their fancy phones, they do everything - the temp in Burbank is 61 degrees :)
